FOOTBALL FEVER AT KLIMS ‘06
In conjunction with Hyundai’s involvement in the FIFA World Cup Finals 2006, the Hyundai stand at the Kuala Lumpur International Motorshow (KLIMS) 2006 will have that football finals feel.
With a floor area of the 504 sq. metres, the Hyundai stand had a mini football field, complete with the green surface, white lines and goal post. Instead of a plain raised stage to highlight the main show car, it was in the shape of half a football. Large FIFA World Cup mascots and Hyundai logos surround the stand further added to the lively and exciting feel. The attractive promoters were also dressed in matching uniforms to further enhance the World Cup football fever feel.
On press day, three new cars were unveiled by YB Dato Seri Chan Kong Choy, Minister of Transport. They were the all-new Hyundai Santa Fe SUV flagship, face-lifted Hyundai Getz 1.4 and the Matrix 1.8.
The Santa Fe drew a lot of attention from the SUV lovers, now with its fresh and attractive looks with an equally exciting internals. The chic Getz 1.4 now comes with DOHC engines and all-round disc brakes to heighten the excitement among the younger drivers. Equipped with a more powerful 1.8-litre engine, the Matrix now has more punch for those motorists who like to drive fast.
Also on display were the super luxurious Azera V6 – the flagship of the passenger cars from Hyundai, all-new NF 2.4 mid-range sedan, evergreen Tucson SUV and the sporty Coupe GK.
At selected times; the Hyundai stand came alive with live entertainments, quiz and free gifts to the visitors.
The Hyundai stand at this year’s KLIMS was the largest yet. This reflected the growing acceptance of Hyundai vehicles among Malaysians and the increasing interest by Korea’s largest motor manufacturer in this region.
