4th June 2005, Tucson test drive campaign

In order to further promote the Hyundai Tucson in Malaysia, Hyundai – Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) launched the Tucson test drive campaign nationwide, from 4th June to 12th June 2005. Customers can experience the thrill of driving the Tucson while enjoying special rebates and free gifts during the promotion period.

The Tucson is the latest edition to the Hyundai SUV family after the introduction of the Santa Fe in 2003.

The Hyundai Tucson comes with a 2WD and 4WD. The Tucson performance is powered by the 2.0L Beta engine with CVVT (Constantly Variable Valve Technology), with an output of 140bhp and 184Nm.

The Tucson also features plenty of thoughtful features such as the steering wheel-mounted controls, 2-din stereo set, trays, pockets, compartment for sunglasses, strategically-placed cup holders, easily foldaway rear seats, well organized boot space and a lock-down boot floor.

The Tucson exterior design incorporates a strong character line from the side panels and front bonnet all the way to the font bumpers. Hence, it is not surprising that the Tucson exterior design was rated highly in a survey conducted by HSDM marketing services.
