Hyundai Ulsan Plant Welcomes Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors Entourage
Tan Sri Dato’ Seri (Dr) Ahmad Sarji b. Abdul Hamid, Chairman of Sime Darby Berhad, Dato’ Ahmad Zubir Murshid, Group Chief Executive, Sime Darby Berhad and a high level delegation of Sime Darby key officials recently visited Hyundai Motor Company head office in Seoul and its manufacturing plant in Ulsan, South Korea from March 14-16, 2005. Aimed at providing them an overview of the assembly plant, the entourage which comprised more than 10 delegates was briefed by Hyundai Motor Companies’ senior management personnel on the manufacturing operations. They were then taken on a tour around Ulsan’s manufacturing facilities which employs state-of-the-art manufacturing methods.
The officials included Mr Yip Jon Khian, Divisional Director, Sime Darby Group Motor, Mr Rajan Thurairatnam, Head of Motor Group Malaysia, Sime Darby Berhad, YBhg Dato’ Ben Yeoh, Managing Director, Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors, En Azlan Ismail, Director of Marketing & Services, and senior management staff of Hyundai Motor Company (HMC).
